FAMILY MINISTRY

At Mary Magdalene, we know how true it is that “It takes a village to raise a child.” If you are searching for a faith home where your children will learn values of kindness, justice, and serving others; nurture their spiritual lives; and be surrounded by a loving community, you have come to the right place!

*** Young people are always welcome in Mass with us. Coloring pages, stuffed animals, and laughter/ giggles are also welcome! Help yourself to one of our activity bags filled by members of our Young Church group.

Young Church

Our children’s ministry group meets monthly during coffee hour after Mass. They work on service projects, discuss spiritual and current topics that matter to them, and share fun together. Young Church is a safe space for youth of all sexual orientations and gender expressions, and welcomes young folks with any and all of their joys, sorrows, questions, and gifts. Recent activities include a wildly successful “Socktober” drive to collect socks for our homeless neighbors. For questions or to see the days we’re scheduled to meet, please contact Pat Davidson.

Children's Sacraments

Baptism, 1st Communion, 1st Reconciliation, and Confirmation are offered upon request. Please contact Pat Davidson or Rev. Celie if interested in having your child or teen make their sacraments at Mary Magdalene Church.

Trans/Parent Group

A group for parents lovingly accompanying transgender, non-binary or genderfluid adult children, meets on the last Sunday of each month following the Mass to share mutual encouragement. For more info, please contact Dc. Betty Jerabeck

We hope our TEENS will follow their gifts and callings here, and share their ideas and join in in any parts of church life that interest them (from being readers or giving communion at Mass, to singing/ music ministry, to serving in our outreach projects to help the world).
