Serving beyond our walls is a cornerstone of Mary Magdalene. We try to embody the great commandment to “love your neighbor as yourself” through the projects below, as well as new initiatives just coming into being. If interested in any of these projects, please reach out to Rev. Celie  or Dc. Betty.

COMMUNITY FOOD CUPBOARD — Our (very well-used) food box in front of the church is stocked with staple foods thanks to Foodlink, and supplemented by church and community members adding non-perishable food and hygiene items. Stay tuned to our bulletin for updates on most-needed items in each season.

INTERFAITH COLLABORATION — We work with both the East Rochester and Perinton alliances of churches to participate in shared projects that benefit the community.

Regular supply drives benefit local refugees, farmworkers, our neighbors at DePaul transitional/enriched housing, patrons of the East Rochester Resource Center, and others; please see the bulletin for ongoing opportunities.
