“Life is good when you are happy; but much better when others are happy
because of you.” ~ Pope Francis
We are all seeking a way to give back to something larger than ourselves. Some ways you might feel called to serve at Mary Magdalene include:
ASSISTING AT MASS: All attenders of MMC are warmly invited to serve as lectors (readers), Eucharistic ministers (giving communion), and leaders of the Prayers of the Faithful (written prayer intentions offered by our community). Simply sign up on the signup sheets outside the Sanctuary. If you are wondering about serving in any of these ministries, contact Rev. Celie or Deacon Betty — we are happy to talk you through it or answer any questions!
SACRISTANS— prepare the sacred space of the altar for Mass. Contact Dc. Betty.
LIVESTREAM TECHNICIANS— utilize our user-friendly system to stream the Mass to our out-of-state and around-the-world parishioners. Contact Michele Vedora.
CHOIR— members minister to the parish by leading our voices in song. Contact Kathy English.
YOUNG CHURCH— teachers and helpers to guide our young people on their faith journeys. Contact Pat Davidson.
CALM (Caring And Listening Ministry) — provides active listening and a compassionate ear to those going through a hard time. Training is required and provided. Contact Lori Cunliffe.
SNOW ANGELS— make sure parking lot and sidewalks are shoveled and safe for folks before Mass. Contact the office.
“ONE SMALL PATCH OF GROUND” (building and grounds ministry)— cares for our little corner of the world by tending the beauty of our spaces, inside and outside. Contact Cindy McClurg or Ginny Weisel.
MEAL TRAIN—in times of sickness and grief when friends and family ask, "What can I do to help"? The answer is usually to help them with a meal. Please consider volunteering to provide a meal when the need arises. Contact Rosemary Salamone to join this ministry.
